Ealing Flutes in their new home at St Mary's Perivale. Feb 2019

Ealing Flute Academy

The Ealing Flute Academy is an adult flute group that normally meets at St Mary's Church, Perivale one Sunday a month between October and June. Due to the ongoing crisis our normal programme has changed. We have made a provisional schedule to be held in the churchyard (directions here) or on Zoom!

We have a great time reading though flute group repertoire of all kinds and breaking into small groups of equal ability to work separately. Usually we give a concert each summer with a programme is based around the work we do during the year and some individual performances too. We really do have a lot of fun!

There is no minimum standard and the cost is on a 'pay-as-you-play' basis of £10.00 per session. Students and seniors go free. For the less experienced there is always help on hand to support you – we are a very friendly bunch!

How we have survived Lockdown!

Our June 2020 concert had to be cancelled so members of the E.F.A. recorded themselves in self-isolation with Sally Goodworth on the piano and we put together the recordings to produce this video performance of "Cantique de Jean Racine" by Fauré. We hope you enjoy it!

Here are some of our latest offerings:

Ealing Flutes play Schneider Quartet

Haydn "Musical Clock" - Menuetto

Haydn "Musical Clock" - Vivace

The above trios from Haydn's 20 Pieces for Musical Clock are played by Hao Hao Du, Katy Reynolds and Andrea Ma.
