This is a residential course for moderate to advanced level students. Taking place in the Easter break, the emphasis is on preparing for A level recitals, auditions, higher level exams and diplomas. Teaching will take the form of open classes in which students play and discuss their pieces, and workshops to address the more technical issues of flute playing. Throughout the weekend there will opportunities to undertake some self-directed ensemble work, which can be performed in the student concert along with the pieces they have worked on during the classes. Additional staff will be on hand to provide plenty of support.
