We have tailored this event specifically for the adult flute player. During the day you will have access to:

Opportunities to play ensemble music and the larger flutes

End of day concert

Just Flutes will be open especially for you! So you could try out a new instrument or simply browse the best flute music catalogue in the country – the choice is yours!

You will be able to improve your flute playing and enjoy making music in the company of like-minded people. We can accommodate all levels of playing ability and will tailor the ensemble repertoire to ensure that everyone can fulfil their potential.

Certainly it’s a great way to spend a Sunday in November and it gets you out of the Christmas shopping too!

Plan of events:

Session 1 10.00
We will start with a large flute ensemble before dispersing into smaller groups. This will enable us all to get to know one another and explore some wonderful flute chamber music.

Coffee 11.15

Session 2 11.30
This is the part of the day when you will be able to play in our informal masterclass if you wish. Any technical issue can be covered here, or you can choose to have some help with repertoire – the choice is yours.

Lunch 1.00
Make the most of the relaxed atmosphere that is a shop open just for you!

Session 3 2.00
With the concert only a rehearsal away there will be plenty of ensemble activity now! We shall be helping you to perfect your chamber music skills and prepare for the big event.

The programme will consist of chamber groups and solos worked on during the day. Participation is purely voluntary and it will be a really informal affair. It’s a great opportunity though - you will be playing to the most supportive audience ever!

And finally….
If you wish to play in the general class please indicate this on the application form. It is possible we won’t be able to hear everyone though so we will operate on a strictly first come first served basis. Our aim is to help everyone improve during the day so please also let us know if there are any issues you would particularly like covered. This is your day – please make the most of it!
